WhatsApp Business API

How do I get WhatsApp Business API access?
To get WhatsApp Business API access, you need:
  • A verified Meta Business Manager account
  • A valid business phone number (not already on WhatsApp)
  • Business verification documents

Do I pay extra for WhatsApp messages?

Can I use my existing WhatsApp number for API?
No, the WhatsApp Business API requires a fresh phone number that is not already registered on WhatsApp (Personal or Business App). You can either:
  • Get a new SIM card

What message templates are allowed?
WhatsApp requires pre-approved message templates for outbound messages (outside the 24-hour window). Common approved templates include:
